Rebuilding futures through purpose, skill, and second chances.

Matriarch Furniture Co. was built on a simple belief:
what’s overlooked can become meaningful — and what’s broken can be rebuilt.

This philosophy guides the heart of the Matriarch Mission, a future initiative designed to support women rebuilding their lives through access to education, training, and opportunity.

Our Vision

The Matriarch Mission will grow into a grant and training program focused on providing vocational pathways to women who have left, or are at risk of entering, the incarceration system.

This isn’t limited to woodworking.
It includes any field that offers dignity, stability, and a real chance at independence:

  • welding

  • mechanics

  • electrical

  • HVAC

  • cosmetology

  • woodworking

  • fabrication

  • and other skilled trades that change lives

At its core, the Mission is about access — access to training, access to work, and access to a future that feels possible.

Why It Matters

Over the past four decades, the number of incarcerated women in the U.S. has risen more than 500%. Most are nonviolent cases tied to poverty, trauma, addiction, or lack of opportunity. And more than half are mothers, meaning the impact echoes through children, families, and entire communities.

Many of these women share the same early struggles I faced — the only difference between us was a handful of choices and a few moments of luck. My life could have gone down a very different path. My son could have grown up without a mother.

And that truth is what drives the Mission.

When women receive support, training, and stability, they don’t just rebuild their own lives —
they lift everyone connected to them.

Building Toward It

Until the Matriarch Mission is fully launched, a portion of every Matriarch Furniture Co. purchase goes directly into the fund that will make it possible.

This means:

  • Every feeder you buy

  • Every aviation piece you bring into your home

  • Every frame, board, or décor item you choose

moves us one step closer to opening the first Matriarch training and support program.

When you bring one of my pieces into your home, you’re doing more than choosing distinctive décor —
you’re helping another woman begin again.

Looking Ahead

The Matriarch Mission will stand as proof that second chances are real.
That what society overlooks can become powerful.
That what feels lost can be reimagined.
And that with the right support, women can rebuild futures that once felt out of reach.

Together, we will make this vision real —
one piece, one opportunity, one future at a time.
