“What began as a small, joyful way to help fundraise for my son’s band has grown into a reminder of how community really works — students serving something larger than themselves, and neighbors choosing to stand behind them.
From the bottom of my heart , Thank you, for showing up for these future leaders, for joining in the fun, and for sharing your pets! “

Skyline’s Cutest Pet Contest
At Matriarch Furniture Co., craftsmanship is only part of what we build. We also believe in building community, opportunity, and meaningful local traditions.
The Cutest Pet Contest began as a simple, accessible way for families to support their local high school marching band. No product sales. No pressure. Just participation.
In 2026, the effort expanded into March for the Marching Hawks, a collaboration supporting both the Skyline Marching Hawks and Sauver Des Chiens, a volunteer-run German Shepherd and “Large Paw Dogs” rescue that has also partnered with the Marine Corps to pair companion dogs with veterans through its Paws for Vets initiative.
This fundraiser reflects the heart of the Matriarch Mission:
Supporting young people who work hard to represent their community
Honoring service, healing, and second chances
Creating ways for everyone to participate — even with a single dollar
Because when participation is accessible, community becomes possible.
How It Works
Community members submit photos of their pets and invite friends and family to vote using a secure, personalized link provided through a platform built specifically for charitable fundraisers.
$5 to enter
$1 = 1 vote
Top three pets receive prizes
Proceeds support the band and veteran companion dog placements
Simple. Fun. Meaningful.
Why It Matters
Music programs shape discipline, teamwork, and pride in young people. Companion dogs provide stability, comfort, and purpose for veterans.
This small, joyful fundraiser connects both — reminding us that community is built through participation, not pressure.
Enter. Vote. Support the Community.
